What is 20mm Recycled Shingle?
20mm recycled shingle (also known as 20mm recycled gravel) provides a sustainable aggregate option for construction projects. Processed from reclaimed materials, this environmentally responsible choice maintains quality while reducing primary resource consumption. Loose tipped for economical bulk supply in large projects. 20mm recycled shingle is NOT a decorative material. It is designed for drainage and infill work, not for laying on a driveway as a decorative shingle or stone. Unlike 20mm Primary Gravel(s), where it is recycled it may contain sharps such as glass, plastic and metals. Although as much as possible is done to remove these it is still not fool proof. The colour is also inconsistent from one load to the next due to multiple feed sources for the wash plant.
What size is Recycled Shingle?
Graded from 10-20mm with material from existing demolition and construction sites. This is a mixture of: Brick, Flint, Limestone, Plastic & Glass can make its way in at times.
Where to use 20mm Recycled Gravel?
Ideal for eco-conscious developments and green building projects. Perfect where environmental credentials matter without compromising performance. Suitable for BREEAM assessments and carbon reduction targets. Excellent for drainage and sub-base applications. 20mm recycled gravel is NOT a decorative material and is designed for drainage and infill work. We do not suggest laying it on a driveway as a decorative shingle or stone.
