What is Limestone Dust?
Limestone dust (0-4mm) is a fine aggregate by product from limestone crushing, consisting of particles from dust to 4mm. This versatile material compacts to form solid surfaces and acts as a binding agent. Loose tipped delivery provides bulk quantities for construction and landscaping.
What size is Limestone Dust?
Graded 0-4mm, containing fine particles through to small chippings. The range of particle sizes allows excellent compaction and binding properties. When compacted and dampened, creates semi-solid surfaces suitable for paths and bases.
Where to use Limestone Dust?
Essential for creating self-binding pathways and as artificial grass base. Perfect for levelling and blinding under paving, filling gaps in crazy paving. Used to improve binding in Type 1 or scalpings. Ideal for creating firm surfaces without concrete.
Extra Information
When the material is wetted and rolled, it creates durable semi-permeable surface. Alkaline nature may affect plant growth. Dust mask recommended during dry handling. Becomes muddy when over-saturated. 0-4mm limestone dust, also known as Aquaflow chippings, are precisely graded limestone or granite aggregates engineered specifically for permeable paving and SUDS applications. The angular chippings provide optimal void space for water infiltration while maintaining structural stability.
