What is Woodchip Mulch?

Woodchip mulch is a screened woodchip mixed with compost specifically for mulching applications. This organic ground cover suppresses weeds while improving soil conditions over time. Loose tipped delivery provides economical coverage for large planted areas.

Where to use Woodchip Mulch?

Ideal for borders, around trees, and shrub beds requiring weed suppression. Perfect for woodland gardens and natural landscaping schemes. Excellent for moisture retention in dry areas. Popular for low-maintenance landscapes. Great to use in south facing gardens during hot weather to protect plants and help them maintain their moisture levels. 

Extra Information

Apply 75-100mm deep for effective weed control. Decomposes over 2-3 years enriching soil. Keep away from plant stems to prevent rot. Natural colour varies with wood species. Top up annually to maintain depth.

There is a 1 cubic meter / 1m3 minimum delivery on this product. 1m3 is around 600 Kg in weight and the equivalent of 2 x bulk bags in volume. This material is supplied loose tipped however for larger quantities we can offer it by the bulk bag.

We deliver this loose in bulk 15m3 loads or smaller quantities as low as 1m3. We deliver our bs3882 certified high quality top soil to Thatcham, Newbury, Reading and all the surrounding towns and villages around Berkshire, North Hampshire and Southern Oxfordshire.
