Track Ballast is an aggregate used for railways. It's both above and underneath railroad ties to secure the ground and stop the tracks from moving under the weight of the trains. Rail Track Ballast is also used as a weed suppressant to help stop unwanted vegetation growing through the railways. Track Ballast is used for drainage this is to prevent waterlogging.
