What is Coxwell Self Binding Gravel?

A carefully graded 0-30mm limestone material compacts to form durable, attractive paths. Coxwell self-binding gravel creates a traditional rustic low maintenance pathway. Loose tipped delivery provides authentic material for period-appropriate surfaces.

How does Coxwell bind?

A precise blend of oolitic limestone from 30mm to dust. This material and blend helps natural binding occur through mechanical interlock and slight cementing action when moistened and compacted together. This creates a firm but permeable surface.

Where to use Coxwell Gravel?

Perfect for heritage properties, stately homes, and historic gardens requiring appropriate pathways. Ideal for creating disabled-access routes in period settings. Essential for conservation areas and listed buildings. Popular with National Trust properties. It's a wonderful addition to any garden pathway or kitchen garden. Whilst not cheap it is a premium material with a premium finish.

Extra Information

Professional installation recommended for optimal results, lay at 50mm depth with a solid sub base beneath it. Requires proper drainage and edge restraint. Initial rolling and watering crucial. Develops character with age. Occasional re-dressing maintains levels. Premium heritage product worth investment for appropriate settings.
