What is 20mm Ballast?

20mm ballast is pre-mixed concrete aggregate combining sand with 20mm gravel. This all-in-one product simplifies concrete mixing for general construction. Loose tipped delivery provides convenient bulk supply eliminating need for separate aggregate storage.

What mix is in 20mm Ballast?

Contains optimum blend of sand (0-4mm) and 20mm gravel for concrete production. The 20mm maximum aggregate size suits most general concrete applications. Consistent blend ensures predictable concrete strength and workability.

Simplifies concrete production - just add cement and water. 20mm aggregate size provides good strength while remaining workable. Calculate 1.7 tonnes per cubic metre.

For projects requiring a smoother finish, we offer specially mixed 0-10mm ballast. This finer grade is ideal for:

• Decorative concrete surfaces
• Thin concrete overlays
• Precision levelling work
• Indoor concrete floor

There is a 1 tonne minimum delivery on this product. 1 tonne is 1000kg in weight. This material is supplied loose tipped however for larger quantities we can offer it by the bulk bag (10 bags minimum). We can offer this in 20 tonne loads and 28 tonne artic loads.

We deliver this loose in bulk 11 tonnes loads or smaller quantities as low as 1 tonne. We deliver high quality Ballast to Thatcham, Newbury, Reading and all the surrounding towns and villages around Berkshire, North Hampshire and Southern Oxfordshire.
