40mm Scalpings

Scalpings is a 40mm down to dust limestone or granite material. It can often be confused with MOT Type 1.

40mm Scalps, it doesn't have to conform to any testing and therefore scalpings tend to be stonier or "dustier" than Type 1. It is generally used under driveways, paths and in oversites or as a hardstanding. However, it can also used to fill in pot holes, make up levels on tracks and soak up mud in field entrances.  It is a by product of Type 1. due to the uncontrolled fines content.
