20mm Old English Chippings (Loose Tipped) chippings are another example of an oolitic limestone. It is very like the Cotswold Chippings and South Cerney Gravel but not such a cream or buff chipping. It is slightly harder wearing stone than the Cotswold Chippings but with a more rustic cream / grey / white appearance.

It is also sometimes referred to as Cotswold Premier. Willis and Ainsworth have samples of the Old English Chippings at their office in Thatcham. It's perfect for pathways and drive ways. Although where it is a soft Oolitic limestone it does breakdown over time.
